At Kontiokaari you can recycle waste materials quickly and easily!

Kontiokaari is the new, modern self-service station for waste and recyclable materials in Joensuu. You can visit Kontiokaari with either a car or a van. The self-service station is for both household and business customers.

Kontiokaari is open every day 6–22, including weekends. The staff is present on weekdays mo–we 13–19 and th–fr 9–15. The address of Kontiokaari is Kontiosuontie 7, 80260 Joensuu. Waste loads are paid with either debit card or credit card.

Note! You can drive straight and bring hazardous waste and electrical equipment to the hazardous waste area free of charge on weekdays mo–we 13–19 and th–fr 9–15, when our staff is present, look the map below, field number 3.

1. At the sorting area you can sort your waste load by waste type and material. 
2. At the yard waste area, sort the raking waste and sticks and branches to their separate boxes. 
3. You can bring hazardous waste and electrical equipment to the hazardous waste area free of charge on weekdays mo–we 13–19 and th–fr 9–15, when our staff is present. On those hours, you can also bring free of charge metal, paper, glass and carton packages, lamps, less than 10 liters of porcelain, ceramic, glass and crystal items.
